Sabrina Maniscalco
Professor Sabrina Maniscalco is one of the world’s leading experts in quantum technology and an internationally respected researcher, serving as Professor of Quantum Information and Logic at the University of Helsinki. She is also the CEO and co‑founder of Algorithmiq Ltd, a company that develops quantum algorithms particularly for the needs of pharmaceutical and life sciences.
Martti Myllylä
Martti Myllylä has worked in various governmental positions for more than 30 years, following earlier private‑sector roles in the ICT industry. During this time, he has specialized in labour market, innovation, economic, foreign, and defense policy issues.
Currently, his duties involve promoting bilateral technology cooperation with the United States. He also participates as a member of the Finnish delegation to the EU Economic Policy Committee and serves as Finland’s representative in the DG GROW Chief Economist’s Network.
Mikko Möttönen
Mikko Möttönen is a Professor of Quantum Technology and an Academy Professor at Aalto University and VTT, renowned for his pioneering work in superconducting quantum‐electric circuits and ultrasensitive bolometers. With more than 160 scientific articles and over 10,000 citations—including four notable publications in Nature and Science. His research bridges both experimental innovation and deep theoretical insight. A recipient of five ERC grants, Mikko earned his doctorate in 2005 from the Helsinki University of Technology at the Department of Applied Physics. He currently acts as the Head of the Aalto BSc Programme in Science and Technology and of the Quantum Technology major, shaping the next generation of innovators. His groundbreaking work has not only advanced quantum physics but has also enabled the commercialization of quantum-computing devices, exemplified by the spinout of IQM Quantum Computers, a quantum unicorn, from his research group. As one of the four co-founders of both IQM Quantum Computers and QMill Oy, his entrepreneurial spirit is matched by a series of prestigious recognitions—including the Nokia Recognition Award, Väisälä Science Prize, Innovation Professor Award, and an Honorary Doctorate from Lappeenranta University of Technology—and a membership in the Finnish Academy of Science and Letters as well as the Finnish Academy of Technology.
Michael Streif
Michael Streif is a Quantum Computing Scientist at Boehringer Ingelheim, working on how quantum computing could help accelerate the process of drug discovery. Prior to joining Boehringer Ingelheim, Michael studied in Freiburg and Oxford and later earned his Ph.D. in physics at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg, where he developed quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems. He worked on developing quantum algorithms at Volkswagen and NASA Ames Research Center, contributing to advancements in quantum computing for real-world applications.
Ilja Sidoroff
Ilja is a Senior Specialist at the Finnish National Cyber Security Centre in Helsinki. He has contributed to building a high-tech cybersecurity collaboration network, strengthening cooperation across key stakeholders. He is invested in enabling the transition to post-quantum cryptography and closely follows the rapid progress of quantum computing.
Hanna Heloterä
Hanna’s workdays span not only RWD projects but also operational development and data‑driven management trainings. She is a life science professional with a strong passion for innovation and problem‑solving. Her extensive experience across basic research, pharmaceutical industry, and consulting has enabled her to build a unique skill set that combines scientific expertise with strategic insight.
