Kai Kaasalainen is the CEO of Tamro Oyj, Finland’s largest healthcare company, and has more than two decades of leadership experience in international IT organizations. In addition to his role as CEO, Kai is dedicated to the practical adoption of artificial intelligence. Recognized as an early AI adopter, he leverages AI technologies daily across management, innovation and development, as well as communication needs.
Kai is also pursuing doctoral research in futures studies (foresight) at Aalto University, giving his talks a strong future-oriented perspective that resonates in today’s rapidly evolving business landscape. As a hands-on practitioner of AI and a seasoned business leader, Kai offers concrete insights and tips on how executives and experts alike can harness AI for strategic advantage.
Marjut Salokannel, Title of Docent, Research Director, University of Helsinki
Marjut Salokannel, OTT, docent, is an expert in privacy, data protection and IP issues issues in the health sector. Her current work focuses on the impact of EHDS regulation and the AI Act for the health sector in Europe. She is working as research director in the University of Helsinki.

Jukka Lähesmaa is responsible for RDI (Research, Development, and Innovation) matters related to the digitalization of the social and health care sector and health technology at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, and supports the business and export opportunities in these areas
Tommi Gröhn, Doctoral Researcher, Aalto University
Tommi Gröhn is conducting his PhD research in DataLit project, which develops trustworthy practices for utilizing Finnish health and social data. His current research focuses on developing risk adjustment models in collaboration with THL to ensure fair resource allocation across welfare service counties. Previously, he explored the use of digital sensor data in digital therapies. His interests lie in both developing statistical models and addressing the growing challenge of documenting and managing these models.
Aaro Tupasela, DSocSc, Docent, University Researcher, University of Helsinki
Aaro Tupasela, DSocSc, Docent of Sociology at the University of Helsinki is a sociologista of science and technology with an interest in medical science and technology studies (STS). For the past 20 years he has studied different perspectives related to the biomedical collection and use of human tissue collections, as well as health related data. Most recently he has been studying everyday practices in the development and implementation of AI systems in health care and public services.
